shouts v3

Shouts (player advertising) has been updated

features (work in progress)

- add or delete shouts
- shouts now last the full 6 hours. (no need to wait for a cron reset
- fully mvc

As this is a work in progress,
- this will be revised to save shouts, add links etc
- improved look and feel to come (along with design cleanups)
- Shout recycling to be added. (re use old shouts)

contacts v3

Friend lists and block lists have been refactored to be MVC compatible, and both merged into contacts .

No new features yet, this was a purely cosmetic overhaul to split the design from the code. However it is setup to accomodate for private chatting, mailing and profile jumps.

Editing notes is disabled for the moment, but will be re enabled later so you can keep notes on players, trades etc.

a full writeup will be posted in admin updates later, along with a plot for any bug fixes and feature requests to this section :)

forums v3 -- LIVE

Forums have been refactored.

- users may now add html , newlines ( :P ), and edit their replies
- better look and feel
- more seo friendly

coming soon:
-bookmarks will serve as 'subscriptions', that is, you will be notified of changes!

why?

Mainly, I need forums as a better way to write updates, b/c we are rapidly closing in on a total refactor of alacrity.
once I complete this, news will be reserved for major updates and mostly content adds etc (aka bobbi ). I dont want to clutter the news with technical updates that make everyones eyes glaze over :)

but also I want everyone to enjoy posting on alacrity, and the old forums were just not doing that. now you can drop in, and communcate like a regular forum.

-user profiles (will be incremental)
-lots of small pages (also incremental) , such as referrals toplists , etc
