another hairy login error fixed

update: news update notifications will now mostly work. have slight error

there was an error with the login script when I changed over to the new package manager.

its fixed now and login and logout should finally work properly.

just working on a few more changes for simplicity. after this, smooth sailing on live

news and forums have been reworked and integrated using same framework.

Big step forward. means we have a bridge measure to start cleaning up code on live, while making them reasonably compatible on test

They still have backend polishing issues, and front end display issues.

- Forums will be set live after testing functionality.
- Display and usability bugs will be corrected as we go, while live.
