I'm still working on the tools to make this chat live on front end.
But for the short term, it looks as if the database optimizations I made may have improved it substantially.
Anyone notice a difference? or is it just me?

mini update - chat 2
backend api has almost been completed. some of the changes coming up.
1. urls will be required to post in bbcode. 2. general html tags will be removed. later to be replaced with bbcode
(these are being done to streamline the upcoming front end display of chat, and to prevent any gaping security holes that currently exist)
3. chat is searchable! 4. finished in backend in but wont be completed in initial front end run : scrolling up and down of chats.
5. users will able to edit, or delete their own comments within a time period (stubbed in, wont be live).
------- front end features ----- chat window will provide live notifications of new messages received. update immediately on posting , etc
ETA -- backend : tomorrow will be fully complete frontend : TBD - probably a week. this is simple to get done quickly, complex to require some serious double checking.
