Apologies for the Downtime!

As many of you probably noticed, Alacrity went down for most of the night. Currently, Robyn is having trouble actually getting onto the site, but we were able to sort out that the problem laid with a DNS failure of the domain name. So far the only problem we know of right now is that chat is not functioning properly, but we will try to get this feature back up and running as quickly as possible.

As you can see, Alacrity is up and running again, and we'll be checking over the site today making sure everything is okay. If you notice a problem with anything other than the chat feature not working, please submit a report to the issue hub! :) Posted by (#Carni) on Oct 10, 2011

I never once had problems with Ala last night. xD Aside from chat not working and nothing appearing on the top dawg list. Don't know why. I use Opera browser? Anywho, glad to see it's fixed for everyone else. :D

Never mind! Just got Chrome to work. Now I'm extremely relieved. I was soo worried when I tried to get in after drinking two cups of coffee, only to find that weird site in Ala's place. *panicked*

Phew! Glad it's back up. Well, for the most part. I'm still unable to get here through Chrome and Firefox and have been relegated to IE. I spent a couple hours panicking this morning because I didn't think to try IE. XD Can't wait till it works in Chrome and Firefox again!

German Shepherd Puppies!

German shepherd puppies have been released! Big thanks to Xylax!

Carni has finished most of the main shop items for our new puppy, along with most companions, but it will take the rest of the art team some time to get everything all caught up. Please allow at least one month before you start submitting reports to the issue hub saying an item doesn't work! If an item isn't showing up, it's because the art hasn't been done for it yet. :)
Bandana of Youth has been stocked into monthly shop for the rest of October only to celebrate the cutest brand new puppy addition! Stock up while you can!

Hope you all enjoy! Posted by (#Robyn) on Oct 07, 2011

LOVE GSDs! *hugs Xy* Thank you! Hope Huskies are next. I'm a huge GSD hoarder! :D

What's off about them though is that there is a dot on the cheek of them that appears on every GSD puppy now.

Another Marking Auction, Halloween Contest, and Rare Item Auction :D

Oh, hi!

We have some fun things in store for you tonight!

First, another custom marking auction! These are auctions which you can bid on to have our lovely Head Artist create an entirely new marking for! There are some changes to this system from previously, so please pay attention!
 • Markings will be for only the one breed that you choose!
 • Markings can be anything within the original line-art of the breed. This can be your name scrawled across the dog of choice, if you so wish it, but nothing outside of the line art can exist!
 • All Auction Bids must be submitted on the Custom Marking #2 Auction thread!

Auctions will expire on Friday, October 21st at 6:00PM Alacrity time! But we have a NEW RULE! To prevent Auction sniping, these auctions do not have a hard stop. They will end 10 minutes after the last bid for the auction post the ending time. This will give you all the necessary time to bid exactly how much you want to bid :D

Second, don't forget about our awesome art and writing contests! These contests will be ending on Friday, October 14th -- so be sure to get your submissions in!
 • Spooky Tails, the Alacrity Story Contest Submission Thread can be found HERE.
 • Spooky Pups, the Alacrity Art Contest Submission Thread can be found HERE

Third, the rare item auction is ending tomorrow night! Don't forget to get your final bids in for this auction of amazing items! You can find this auction at the RARE ITEM AUCTION :>

As always, with all our love,
The Alacrity Staff
