Bone Purchasing Changes
Hey everyone!
So, I am *almost* ready to try out a new bone purchasing system. The new system will not rely on reporting issues and waiting for poor Bobbie to send you your bones and items. In fact, we're changing the whole thing to make it easier for you to buy only the items and bones you want, and to do it all in a shorter, less irritating checkout experience.
Fair warning, though. Until I'm certain I've gotten all the kinks out, I may decide to limit the number of bones that can be purchased per day - just so we don't have a giant train derailment of bugs if a little thing goes wrong. Also I currently have pneumonia and I just don't want to gamble everything on my ability to set something complicated up between my treatments and my naps. :P
I wanted to make sure you guys were aware of this well in advance, so no one is caught in a lurch.

Staff Changes, Bug Fixing and Chat Rule Updates
Hey guys, gals, and nonbinary pals!
I know it doesn't look like much on the surface right now, but we've had a lot of changes going on behind the scenes in the last few months -- and are hoping to have even more going forward! Here's the basic rundown:
Our skeleton crew of staff is more like a skull slithering around on a spinal cord, but we're still here and kicking. We've welcomed long time Assistance & Mod team member Bobbie (#29063) to the admin team, and it's all hands on deck to pare down the backlog of issues.
Sam, Kit and I are still on bug busting duty. But while we work on the list of known bugs, we still need your help! If you come across anything on the site that doesn't seem to be working right, please submit a report through the Issue Hub. Broken code, items not showing up, items or features not working as they should, even just things that look like they need to be fixed or addressed by site maintenance -- let us know! We'd MUCH rather get duplicate reports than not be aware of improvements we could be making.
Finally, and perhaps most relevant to many: we're relaxing chatroom rules
You are now free to discuss sales, services, trades, contests/giveaways, and ask for any type of assistance in the main chat!
Using the Shoutbox will still be a more reliable way to advertise, and rules regarding begging, spamming, obnoxious behaviour and pity parties still apply. We will revisit this decision if we find people are breaking those rules more readily, but we hope these less stringent chat rules to be the new norm for the forseeable future.

Extra Life 2019
Hey Guys!
I've been quiet for a few weeks but that's because I've been preparing for the first annual Extra Life marathon at the maker space where Sam and I volunteer!
This weekend we will be using our off time to work on Some Alacrity issues (like the paypal and email verification issues) but while we are fundraising you can catch us on our twitch stream with our friends Joni and Mike. We will also have some indie devs come do segments of their games.
I know this isn't strictly Alacrity related but Sam and I just really wanted to share it with you guys and with everybody! I'm hoping you guys could help get the word out! If you are feeling generous enough to donate we are doing donation incentives throughout the 25 hour stream.
