Dialogue Box "Jokes"
Hello All,
There have been several incidents the past week of players posting links to sites in which you are forced to stay on that page until you click 100+ dialogue boxes.
Many of these boxes contain insulting messages calling the user things like stupid for clicking. Often the poster posts it without warning or with a warning such as "Don't Click This".
This is not okay to post on Alacrity. It is not okay to play these kinds of mean tricks on your fellow unsuspecting players. Players are not laughing; these are not as funny as you think they are. It has caused several of our members to think they have a virus, some have even had to shut down their computer because they have never known about these things and didn't know that it would end.
It's upsetting, it's not nice, and we don't wish to see it on Alacrity any longer. We have always prided ourselves on being a site that welcomes new players and who we are all on friendly terms with. This sort of thing is not friendly, we consider it trolling and we will write up players for General Rule 3 who post these kinds of things.
If you see someone with this, please report it to the mod hub and do not click it yourself.
If you have been posting this, or if you have this on you profile or anywhere else on Alacrity: remove it now please.
In the future, if you have something you wish to share but you are not certain if it is a joke that goes too far, ask our Moderators if it's allowable on Alacrity. They would be glad to tell you if something is okay or why it wouldn't be okay.

Mascot Name: Final Vote
Mascot still needs a name!
We've made it to the final vote for mascot and cannot wait to get him or her up and in his/her rightful place. Please read carefully before you vote everything in this post.
We will have four options up:
Celerity Male
Celerity Female
Alastair Male
Alastair Female
The name with the most votes will win. That means we'll add up the votes for Alastair Male and Female, and the votes for Celerity Male and Female, and whichever total is higher is the name. Then we'll see which sex has the higher vote for the name, to determine whether Mascot will be Male or Female.
Voting will close in one week, on Sunday Evening. After which, we'll contact the winners to give them their prizes! We also have one of our artists hard at work on a new banner of our Mascot.

I agree. I got one of those a week ago. I have to shut down my computer, and I gave it a virus. Ugh. >-< Luckily BullGuard was able to remove it.
