Yo ho, yo ho, a Pirate's life for me!

Good Morning, Alacrites!

As promised, here is your September wake-up call :> Welcome to the month of the Pirates, arrgh! Head on over to the Monthly Shop to pick up your trinkets and treasures. While there, don’t forget to pick up some friends for your dogs. This month’s companion has a rather unique effect: Every Friday, your Pirate companion will bring you one of four nautical cookies. These are brand new cookies to the game and their effects are quite awesome!


The Doubloon Cookie gives your dog +5 health and -2 hunger.
The Anchor Cookie gives your dog +20 health and -2 hunger.
The Starfish Cookie gives your dog +2 drive and -2 hunger.
The Seashell Cookie gives your dog +1 speed and -2 hunger.

Now, some of these cookies are rarer than others and we may need to tweak the rarities a little bit to make sure that those cookies stay reasonably rare. We will let you know if we increase the rarity of the Starfish and Seashell cookies to maintain game balance. The donation companion’s chances of bringing you rare cookies will not be altered, unless we need to make the rarer cookies a little bit less rare.


This month’s donation items are the Merdog and the Magic Pearl.
Merdog, available with Bone purchases of $25 or more, also brings you nautical cookies, except it fetches you a cookie every single night. Just imagine the possibilities!
The Magic Pearl must be quite large, for it contains one of each Pirate themed items in the monthly shop and is awarded for Bone purchases of $65 or more.

Once in a Blue Moon!

Oh my goodness! Can you believe that it's the end of August already?

Tonight marks the end of August and the end of our Norse Mythology Monthly Theme. You have a mere handful of hours to get your Norse purchases in before these items disappear. Make sure to mosey on over to the Monthly Shop to snag everything that you may want.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to introduce you all to the newest member of our artist team :D
Rixon has joined our creative ranks so that she may bring you all beautiful things to look at. Her art is truly amazing and you'll be seeing some of it released tomorrow!


I know most of you are dying to know what we have planned for September. I'm comfortable in telling you that September is going to be in the theme of Pirates, yarr!

We have some new and fun things planned, so please keep your eyes peeled for the news post about the new monthly items tomorrow. Donation items will also change out either late tonight or early tomorrow.


As an interesting aside, did y'all know that tonight is a Blue Moon? This means that we're having a second full moon this month! A blue moon only happens about once every 2.7 years and will not happen again until July, 2015. If you can, take a step outside tonight and appreciate the beautiful moon. Neil Armstrong, an American hero and one of the first men to walk on the moon, passed away only 6 days ago; his family asks that you think of this brave man when you gaze upon our heavenly neighbor.

Fishy Business

Good morning,

I am to be the unfortunate candidate to announce that the fish oil is currently under a bit of construction with a hopeful ETA fix of "very soon," being there will already be a great deal of movement behind the scenes getting next month's items out.

I would advise against using the item until we can get it sorted. If you do use it anyway, it should be fine as it will not deduct the use, it just won't give you anything either.

The item limit was still being bypassed by using the "feed all" option available to upgraded users. The current fish oil script could benefit from being re-written completely since it started with the structural integrity of strawberry wafers that didn't agree with Alacrity's current food system.

I apologise for the inconvenience, as I understand there has been a great emotional roller coaster concerning the item; but I trust everyone has hopefully had a bit of fun and were able to let their hair down briefly before order was restored.

Until then, thank you for your patience and I hope you all are looking forward to the upcoming monthly items, courtesy of our ever hardworking art team.
